143 Necklace
A 15.5-inch station necklace: vintage pink pearls arranged in three groupings — one, four, three — separated by bezel-set natural sapphire, opal, and ruby, and threaded onto 0.8mm 14k yellow gold heart chain. The pattern is a count: one letter, four letters, three letters — I, love, you. Also the pager-era shorthand for the same phrase: 143. Two of the connecting sections carry single-letter C and P links, Catherine Peck's initials worked into the structure. Adjustable across three lengths; the shortest pulls the whole message close to the throat.
