Aubade

Vintage Pearl Necklace with 6.16ctw Floating Diamonds, 16"

Sixteen inches of peach-toned vintage pearls in 6–7 millimeters, hand-strung in silk by Catherine, with seven lab diamonds floating through the chain on platinum jump rings. The center is a 2.55-carat heart-cut lab diamond. Two 1-carat Ashoka-cut diamonds frame it — the antique-inspired cut chosen for the way it sits inside a pearl strand without competing for the eye. Smaller hearts and a pair of emerald cuts step down the line.

Each diamond is laser-drilled through the table and suspended through the chain itself, with no prongs, no bezels, no setting in the conventional sense. The pearl strand is vintage and one-of-one; the stones were sourced individually, chosen for how they read against the warmer undertone of these particular pearls.

Aubade is the morning version of the piece, named for the dawn song. It will not be remade.
