From clients
“Catherine is someone who not only works with morals, integrity and ethics, but she has amazing pricing and helped me find a unique loose diamond that beat the price of every quote I got from other retailers.”
“My fiancée wanted her ring unique, elegant, and to stand out without being flashy — and we hit all three. I couldn’t have found anything like this anywhere else. The blue diamond is going to blow her away.”
“The charms themselves are stunning — delicate, sparkly, and beautifully made. They catch the light in such a pretty, subtle way, and the different cuts give each one its own personality.”
A 1.51-carat rose oval step-cut lab diamond, F color and VVS2 clarity, set north-south on a hand-worked solid yellow gold band that trails into vine and bud along the shoulders and shank — a setting that reads as if it grew around the stone rather than being made to hold it. The rose oval step cut itself is a crossover form: the elongated silhouette of an oval, the shallow glassy faceting of a rose cut, the linear geometry of a step cut down the crown. Long, luminous, and softer than any brilliant.
The Object
- Name: Bower
- Silhouette: North-south solitaire on a hand-worked botanical shank
- Edition: Made to order in 10k, 14k, or 18k yellow gold, in ring sizes 2 through 12 (including half sizes)
- Collection: Pinky Ring Drop
The Stone
- Type: Lab-grown diamond
- Cut: Rose oval step cut
- Carat weight: 1.51 ct
- Color: F (colorless — second-highest grade on the GIA color scale; no tint visible to the eye)
- Clarity: VVS2 (very very slightly included — inclusions extremely difficult to see even under 10× magnification)
- Dimensions: 9.37 × 5.86 × 3.29 mm
- Accent stones: None
- Certification: Uncertified — selected in person for the way the rose faceting and step-cut geometry read together, which is uncommon in a single stone.
- Grade significance: Rose cuts are shallow and glassy; step cuts are linear and architectural; oval is a modern silhouette. Very few stones combine all three. The 1.51 ct weight in this hybrid form reads longer and larger on the finger than the number suggests.
Specs describe the pictured piece. Made-to-order stones will fall within 0.2 ct of the pictured weight and matched as closely as possible to color and character.
The Metal
- Metal: Solid recycled 10k, 14k, or 18k yellow gold (choose at checkout)
- Gold weight: Approximately 3.22 g in 14k (varies slightly by karat and size)
- Shank: Slightly tapered — 1.7 mm at the sides, 2 mm at the bottom
- Finish: High polish
Choose 10k for the most scratch-resistant, everyday-durable alloy with a warmer, quieter tone (41.7% pure gold). Choose 14k for the classic middle ground (58.5%). Choose 18k for the richest color and highest purity (75%).
Measurements
- Shank: 1.7 mm at the sides, 2 mm at the bottom
