A 6.41-carat natural moonstone (17.1 × 7.8 mm) and a 0.50-carat D-color VS1 round-brilliant lab diamond, set opposite each other on a 4 mm 10k yellow gold anchor chain — the toi et moi format extended from finger to neck. Moonstone reads silver, cloudy, and shifting; diamond reads colorless, clean, and lit. Two entirely different ways of holding light, held together at 17 inches.

- Pairing significance: The moonstone and the D-color diamond sit at opposite ends of how a stone can carry light — one diffuses it through adularescence, the other refracts it through cut. Set opposite each other on the chain, the pair reads as a diptych rather than a solitaire with a supporting stone.
