The Black Diamond
A 1.08-carat black round brilliant diamond — laser-drilled through the table and suspended on a 14k yellow gold jump ring. A natural black diamond is opaque, not transparent, so a brilliant cut here doesn’t return fire from within the stone. The facets catch highlights at the surface and the rest holds as a solid, matte dark — a small, deliberate piece of black against the yellow gold of the chain.
