The Solid Gold Signet
From clients
“Catherine is someone who not only works with morals, integrity and ethics, but she has amazing pricing and helped me find a unique loose diamond that beat the price of every quote I got from other retailers.”
“My fiancée wanted her ring unique, elegant, and to stand out without being flashy — and we hit all three. I couldn’t have found anything like this anywhere else. The blue diamond is going to blow her away.”
“The charms themselves are stunning — delicate, sparkly, and beautifully made. They catch the light in such a pretty, subtle way, and the different cuts give each one its own personality.”
An approximately 1.5-carat oval lab diamond set east-west in a milgrain bezel, with your initials laser-etched directly onto the table of the stone. The signet face is the diamond — not engraved gold with a diamond accent, not a stone set beside a monogram, but the diamond itself as the inscription surface. This is what a signet ring was always meant to be, in a material nobody historically had access to for the purpose.
You approve the design mockup before we cut the stone.
Every monogram is reviewed by hand against the actual diamond dimensions. If letter spacing or overlap needs adjusting, we email you a revised mockup before any engraving happens. No surprises.
How it works
- Design your monogram. Pick a single initial, two-letter combination, or three-letter monogram in serif, sans serif, or script — preview it in the customizer before adding to cart.
- Choose your size, karat, and gold color. Sizes 2–12 (half sizes included), in 10k, 14k, or 18k yellow, white, or rose gold.
- We hand-review your design. Within 3–5 business days of your order, we check letter spacing, overlap, and proportions against the diamond. If anything needs adjusting, we’ll reach out before proceeding.
- Your ring is engraved and shipped. 4–5 weeks from your final design approval, fully insured with signature required.
The Object
- Name: The Solid Gold Signet
- Silhouette: Oval east-west milgrain bezel signet
- Edition: Commission — one of one
- Collection: Signet Program
- Inscription: Single initial, two-letter combination, or three-letter monogram. Scripts: Serif, Sans Serif, or Script — preview in the customizer before ordering.
- On the preview: The monogram shown in the customizer is a digital approximation. The Metal
- Metal: Solid gold
- Gold content: 10k (41.7% pure gold, 417 stamp), 14k (58.5% pure gold, 585 stamp), or 18k (75% pure gold, 750 stamp) — selected at checkout

10-karat gold is the strongest everyday gold alloy — more scratch- and dent-resistant than 14k or 18k, with a warmer, quieter tone. We chose it deliberately, for jewelry that’s meant to be worn, not stored.
Our white gold alloy contains nickel. If you have a known nickel sensitivity, please reach out before purchasing.

Common questions
What if I don’t like the mockup you send me?
You can request adjustments to letter spacing, style, or size, and we’ll send a revised mockup. Nothing is engraved until you approve the final design. If after adjustments you want to cancel, email cp@catherinepeck.com and we’ll work through it.
How long does the whole process take?
Roughly 4–5 weeks from your final design approval: 3–5 business days for our design review, then 3–4 weeks for stone sourcing, engraving, and finishing.
Is the engraving visible when I wear it?
Yes. The monogram is laser-etched onto the table (top facet) of the diamond, so it reads clearly at close range and shimmers into the light at a distance. It’s a piece that signals rather than shouts.
What if I want more than three letters, or a symbol?
Three letters is our standard. For longer inscriptions, dates, or symbols, email cp@catherinepeck.com before ordering — we’ll confirm what’s possible on the stone dimensions and quote any custom work.
What’s the difference between the 10k, 14k, and 18k options?
10k is the most durable and has a warmer, quieter tone (41.7% pure gold). 14k is the classic middle ground (58.5%). 18k has the richest color and highest purity (75%) but is softer. All three carry the same IGI-certified diamond.
Can this ring be resized later?
Yes. A bezel-set signet can be resized within a range that doesn’t disturb the stone. Reach out to cp@catherinepeck.com after purchase and we’ll walk you through options. See our Warranty & Repairs page for full coverage details.
Do I get certification with the diamond?
Yes. IGI certification for the center stone ships with every ring.
