Approximately 1 carat of heart-cut lab diamond — white E–F or fancy pink — in a low bezel, with carved gold flowers rising up each shoulder and a small bow worked into the metal at the base of the stone. A signet ring in all but name: a face, a frame, and a design that reads the same at ten feet as it does up close.

10-karat gold is the strongest everyday gold alloy — more scratch- and dent-resistant than 14k or 18k, with a warmer, quieter tone. We chose it deliberately, for jewelry that’s meant to be worn, not stored.
